ANIDS - Anil Neerukonda Institute Of Dental Sciences, Visakhapatnam

Overview

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at the ANIL NEERUKONDA INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, Visakhapatnam was established in 2012. The Department claims a special place amongst all the fields present in dentistry as we provide a coordinated dental care to all the age group of people who reports with the general symptoms of pain, swellings, discomfort, fractures, periapical pathologies etc which requires specialized care in treatment procedures to restore the overall oral health to physical harmony.

Our department is highly equipped with 45 chairs for the OPD patients. We encourage the under graduates and the house-surgeons to educate and treat the patients and guide them in a right way. We have individual chambers for the postgraduates for a healthy and an isolated area for them to expertise in their own work. We have a separate endodontic surgical room to perform endodontic minor surgeries. We improve the students oration and proclamation skills by guiding them with their Journals, Seminars, Case Presentations, Dissertations , Paper and poster presentations. We also encourage them to attend various online and offline workshops and webinars to gain exposure to the recent advancements and gain extra knowledge and we also encourage our post-graduate students to get an exposure on plenty of new cases day by day and help them learn in way paving the path to excellence in the days to come.

We are currently practicing the way of treating patients with the latest equipment present in our department such as loops, microscopes, RVG, light curing units for bleaching , and other newer materials .

We have conducted various workshops and CDE Programmes in our college for all the students and faculty which might help them in an all round exposure and better enhancement of their knowledge.

We are also privileged to announce that we conduct the competitions for undergraduate students to showcase their knowledge and talent through quiz, poster presentations , splash, cooking without gas etc.., and evaluated , appreciated and awarded them accordingly on the occasion of “ENDO-CONS DAY” held every year on MARCH 5TH

Our vision is to firstly provide painless treatments to all the patients by using recent methods and materials for anesthesia and also introducing loupes into the undergraduate academic curriculum for their future benefit.

Mission

To make treatments less technique sensitive for both the undergraduate and the post graduate students and also we inculcate the use of loupes and microscopes for the post graduate students regularly to achieve a better quality treatment.
